How to Enable Remote Administration on IIS7 packages via the control panel

The remote administration service in IIS7 is a new and powerful feature that allows you to connect securely to our remote IIS 7 servers using an SSL connection.

Here is how you can enable it-

1. Login in to our control panel by going to https://control.appliedi.net

2. Select the Domains icon.

3. Select the domain you wish to enable remote delegation on.

a. Please note this feature is only supported if you have an IIS7 package (noted in package name).

4. Select the IIS7 Remote Administration icon.

5.Select Enable.

6. Remote Delegation is now enabled and ready to use.

a. Use this option to disable remote administration.
b. Use this option to synchronize your control panel password with the remote administration username’s password.
c. This is the information required to remotely login via the IIS Management Console.

NOTE: Some of the control panel features will be unavailable due to having IIS7 delegation enabled.
