After installing the SSL certificate, log into your domain.com/admin and set the following AppConfig parameters:
AppConfig: LiveServer=yourdomain.com
AppConfig: RedirectLiveToWWW=true
This will prevent the user from getting a warning when they click checkout if they’re on your site without a "www" in the domain.
