18. How to manage security roles in DotNetNuke

This tutorial assumes that you have already logged into the DotNetNuke admin area

Now let’s learn how to manage security roles through DotNetNuke

1) Click the Roles icon here

Scroll down

Let’s create a new role first…

2) Click Add New Role

3) Enter Role Name and Description

4) Check Public Role to allow users subscribe and unsubscribe to the role

5) Click Update when finished

Scroll down

6) Scroll over Admin

7) Then click User Accounts

Now let’s see how to assign an existing user to the new security role

8) Click Manage Roles icon here

9) Choose the new role from the list

10) Then click Add Role to User

That’s it! We have just added a new security role to an existing DNN user
