When changing or resetting a password for an FTP user account within the MSPControl Panel https://portal.awesomehosting.com, you should see a green confirmation status bar at the top of the page after you save the new password in order to verify that the new password has taken effect.
If you don’t see a green confirmation status bar, that means the new FTP password has not taken effect and the old password is still in-effect. This is a known issue in that the MSPControl Panel will not display an error message if the new password was not accepted (it will only display a success message if the password change was successful).
