Here are the things you need to look at before you transfer a StoreFront site. 1. Does your Store run Access or SQL?
a. If it's Access then all you have to do is move it over along with your web content (the permissions will be automatically setup).
b. If it's SQL you should know the version of the SQL Server and have your previous host "detach" it from the server or give you a backup so you can send it over to us. A detach will cause some downtime (1-2 mins at the most).
2. SSL-
a. Shared SSL- If your store runs on Shared SSL we'll be able to provide with one of our own, just let us know as soon as you move your content, this way your store can be configured for our shared SSL.
b. Dedicated SSL- Have your previous host export the private and assign it a password. You'll need to send this over to us along with the password so we can import it to our servers.
3. StoreFront Components- If your store runs any payment processor such as Cybercash or Paypal please let us know. We need to make sure these components are correctly installed on the server. The same relates for shipping components such as USPS. Finally, you'll need to change your StoreFront path to the temp URL that our system has assigned to you. This way you can make sure your store is working before you transfer the domain name.
